Trading Rules

  • Stop-Loss Trigger: If a pick drops 10% or more from the buy price (adjusted for any stock splits), a stop-loss is eligible to execute during market hours.
  • Execution Price: When triggered, the exit is executed at an additional 0.5% beyond the current drop (e.g., a -5.7% drop executes at -6.2%).
  • Market Hours Only: Stop-loss execution occurs only during market hours. If the threshold is met while the market is closed, execution is postponed until market hours.
  • Finalization: Executed stop-losses are marked as completed and removed from active tracking. These appear with an “Exit Type: Stop-Loss” indicator.
  • Standard Finalization: Picks are otherwise finalized after a 7-day tracking window using the latest available market price.

Performance Metrics

  • Trending (Active Picks): While a pick is still within its 7‑day tracking window, we classify its short‑term movement as Trending Success (> +0.5%), Trending Failure (< -0.5%), or In Neutral Zone (between -0.5% and +0.5%). Trending updates reflect the latest market data and are most meaningful during market hours.
  • Final Verdict: After 7 days (validated at a market‑hours update), a pick is finalized with its final price and outcome (Success / Failure / Neutral). Finalized picks stop updating and are excluded from live trending.
  • Trending vs. Historical Analytics: The Trending view summarizes active picks plus any picks finalized within the last 7 days (e.g., early stop‑loss exits). The Historical view summarizes picks created 7–14 days ago that have been finalized. Both show success/failure/neutral rates and average overall change.
  • Early Stop-Loss in Trending: If a pick is finalized early by stop‑loss, it appears in the Trending metrics immediately (for the first 7 days from creation) and then transitions to Historical once its creation date falls into the 7–14 day window.
  • Pending: Picks with insufficient or stale price updates are counted as pending and excluded from rate denominators to keep metrics accurate.
